Impartiality, Independence and Confidentiality

Impartiality is the very reason an inspection and certification body exists. As TÜV AUSTRIA SILA KALİTE, we embrace the structural independence required of a Type A inspection body under ISO/IEC 17020: we are not a party to the design, manufacture, supply, installation, operation or maintenance of the products, materials, equipment or processes we inspect. This positioning ensures that our decisions remain free from any conflict of interest.

To safeguard our impartiality, we systematically identify, evaluate and manage potential conflicts of interest. Our personnel are kept clear of any financial or personal relationships that could influence the inspection or certification decisions they make; our remuneration and performance structures are not designed in a way that would encourage a particular inspection outcome. Our decisions rest solely on objective evidence and applicable standards.

We deliver training for individuals and personnel certification within the same organisation, through separate processes. Personnel involved in training are not assigned to certification activities; even after their training role has ended, the person who delivered our training to a candidate may not act as an examiner in that candidate's certification exams for 2 years. Attending our training is not required to apply for certification; the training required by the standard may also be taken from another organisation, provided it is documented to meet the standard's requirements, and taking our training does not make the certification process easier, faster or cheaper.

Confidentiality is an inseparable part of impartiality. We protect our customers' technical information, inspection findings and commercial data except where legally required, and we ensure such information is managed so as not to provide any party with a competitive advantage. Our commitment to impartiality, independence and confidentiality is the unchanging foundation of our corporate culture and of all our service processes.
