How to Verify the Validity of an Inspection Report or Certificate

An inspection report or certificate can only be trusted to the extent that it can be verified in the issuing body's records and falls within its accreditation scope.

Inspection reports and certificates submitted in supply chains, tender documents and audits form the basis of important decisions. A forged, expired or suspended document, however, creates serious risks in terms of both legal obligations and occupational safety. It is therefore good practice to verify a document's validity against the issuing body's records before accepting it.

Three points should be checked: whether the document exists in the issuing body's records, whether its validity period has expired, and whether the inspection or certification performed falls within the body's accreditation scope. In Türkiye, accreditation scopes are published by the national accreditation body, TÜRKAK; a report issued for an activity outside the scope does not carry accreditation assurance.

You can verify the validity of documents issued by TÜV AUSTRIA SILA live on the Certificate Verification page of our website, using the certificate number or the QR code on the document. To protect personal data, some documents may additionally require confirmation of the holder's name. The result is retrieved directly from our records; where information appears incomplete, you can contact us to request manual verification.
