Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is the collective set of inspection methods used to detect discontinuities, defects and flaws on the surface and inside a material or component without taking it out of service or damaging its physical integrity. Methods such as radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant and visual testing are selected according to the material type and the kind of defect sought.
