Hardness Test

Hardness of metals can be defined as resistance to plastic deformation. The hardness measurement test/experiment measures the resistance of a material against another harder material pressed against its surface.

We can perform micro hardness and macro hardness. Our measurement range is between Vickers 50gr and 10kg.

Vickers Hardness Measurement Method:
It consists of immersing a pyramid-shaped tip with a square base on the surface of the material whose hardness is to be measured under a certain load and measuring the diagonals of the trace that occurs after the load is removed.

In our laboratory, the mentioned test is carried out with QNESS Q 10M Automatic Vickers Hardness Tester.
