Breaking Test
This test is intended to break test samples removed from welded joints from the weld metal and to examine the fracture surfaces. The test is carried out to obtain information on the types, dimensions and distribution of internal defects on the fracture surfaces, examples of which are given below.
- Pores
- Cracks
- Melting deficiencies
- Penetration deficiencies
- Solid residues
In our laboratory, the mentioned test is carried out with the INSTRON 600 kN Universal Tensile-Compression device.
